the Founder and Managing Director of GWIIN
Bola Olabisi LLB (HONS), LLM, CIOH is married
with four children, she is the CEO of GWIIN.
GWIIN works on a local, regional, national and international
basis and was founded in 1998. This was following
the successful and prestigious launch of the first
award for Inventive and innovative women - The British
Female Inventor of the Year Award and has since grown
to become the number one and leading accolade for
bringing inventive & innovative women into the
spotlight.
GWIIN is a global network that has the desire to
increase the number of innovative women embracing
enterprise. GWIIN continues to extend its services
to include working with Government departments, leading
industry experts, voluntary organisations, enterprises
and educational departments in finding effective ways
of bringing the support, assistance, tools, advice
and information that assist women in achieving significant
growth in their businesses.
Bola Olabisi is also the Founder and CEO of the British
Female Inventor of the Year Award which continues
to put the spotlight on women inventors across Britain
- bringing worldwide recognition and acknowledgement.
Bola has extensive experience, skills and professional
qualifications in Community Development, Regeneration
and the legal field stemming over 18 years.
Bola is highly experienced when it comes to involving
everyone in a community, promoting diversity and equal
opportunities. Her experience includes several years
working for the capacity building of local residents
within diverse communities and specialising in the
areas of youths and women.
Bola has a great understanding of the issues that
create barriers to local involvement and success.
Her services involve research into these barriers
and breaking them down.
Bola is a trainer, an International Motivational Speaker
and Writer who continues to share her ideas, experiences
and insights nationally and internationally. Bola
has extended her work with GWIIN into several countries
including Britain, Canada, South Africa, USA, Spain,
Hong Kong, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, India, Iceland,
France, Nigeria, Morocco and most recently Singapore.
Bola has gained national and international recognition
for her work across the UK and Globally. Most recently
she received her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of
Edinburgh's invitation to Buckingham Palace to mark
her contribution as a Pioneer to the Life of the Nation.
She was presented with the International Federation
of Inventors Association (IFIA) Award for her dedicated
work and support for inventive women in 2001. She
was also presented with the New Impact Award for being
a source of inspiration and for her commitment in
2001.
Bola was again acknowledged for her contribution to
raising the credibility and visibility of inventive
and innovative women in the UK, her contribution to
the UK economy and was presented with the British
Association of Women Entrepreneurs' Joyce Award in
2001.
Bola is now looking forward to the rewarding experience
of developing and extending her expertise, skills
and knowledge wherever possible.
